Summary

The Maritim hotel occupies a superb position on a long sandy beach on a private estate known as Balaclava along Turtle Bay on the north west coast of Mauritius. Located between Port Louis and Grand Baie, Turtle Bay is a Marine National Park offering fantastic snorkelling and scuba diving grounds just off the Maritims long, coral reef protected beach. The hotel is built in typical Mauritian style on a 25-hectare private estate of the most colourful, lush tropical gardens. The accommodation, which is situated in two wings stretching from the main building is all tastefully furnished with great amenities. With an excellent choice of restaurants, health and leisure facilities both on and off the water including a 9- hole golf course and an attentive, warm and friendly service. The extensive range of facilities available, make the Maritim Mauritius an ideal choice for those looking for an active holiday. Approx 75 mins from the airport.

The Hotel provides a fantastic array of facilities for those who are athletic and also for those who would prefer a more sedate holiday. Facilities include

Shopping arcade, shuttle service to Port Louis and Grand Baie, Large swimming pool, Water sports including windsurfing, sailing, water polo and snorkelling, Pedalos, Glass bottom boat, Sports such as tennis, table tennis, volleyball, golf are also available.

For an addition charge guests can enjoy scuba diving, sailing cruises, horse riding, cycling, and golf lessons

There is also the Turtle club for children, 09.00 - 16.00, supervised play area, special clubhouse with games and video shows, Babysitting services are available on request at extra charge.

Restaurants/Bars

The hotel offers three bars, the main bar is located by the sea offering splendid views, the Pool Lounge overlooks the pool serving afternoon tea with home made pastries and the beach bar is on the beach front serving a selection of drinks, snacks and grilled food throughout the day. The hotel provides a range of different cuisines to suit every taste. Belle Vue is the main restaurant and benefits from panoramic sea views. The restaurant serves buffet breakfast, buffet or barbeque dinner and table d'hote menus with several choices. Vegetarian meals are available on request. Mon Desir is a gourmet restaurant where guests can enjoy the highest standard a la carte international cuisine. The beach restaurant La Maree serves sea food specialities and grills.

In addition to the marvellous cuisine the hotel has to offer, guests can also enjoy regular live entertainment and themed evenings.

The hotel has 221 rooms. 147Comfort rooms with double or twin beds, 29 Deluxe rooms with double beds, 29 Prestige rooms with larger en suite bathrooms featuring a separate shower, 10 Junior suites with separate lounges , 4 Suites and 2 Presidential suites which benefit from two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
